Benjamin Katzeff Silberstein is a lecturer at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, researching the Korean Peninsula, with a particular focus on North Korean society, history, economy, and international relations. He teaches courses on Korean history and contemporary North Korea.
Benjamin earned his PhD in history from the University of Pennsylvania with a dissertation on surveillance in North Korea. He obtained his master's degree in international relations and international economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and has previously worked as a journalist. His research has been published in journals such as the Journal of Korean Studies, Asian Perspective, and Asian Survey, among others.
