Daniel Stridh is a Research Fellow at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs’ Programme for Global Politics and Security (GPS).
Daniel's research is at the intersection of social history, economic history and international relations. In the Programme for global politics and security (GPS), he conducts research on the relationship between indigenous peoples in the armed forces from a historical perspective. Daniel is part of the research project "Conscription, settler colonialism and discrimination of the Sami people in Sweden", funded by the Swedish Research Council.
Daniel recieved his PhD in Economic History at Stockholm University in the autumn of 2023 and has since been active as a teacher and researcher in economic history, international realtions and child and youth studies.
