Linda El-Naggar is Associate Fellow/Analyst at the Middle East and North Africa Program at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Gothenburg and a master’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies from Lund University.
Current analytical projects include the protest movement Hirak in Algeria and China's influence in North Africa. Linda also monitors the democratization process in Tunisia, the relations between Algeria and Morocco, and the conflict in Western Sahara.
Linda has previously worked as an analyst at the advisory firm Consilio International, where she analyzed the geopolitical development in around 20 geographies, including Turkey, Tunisia, China, India and the Indo-Pacific region. She has also carried out an internship at the Swedish Embassy in Algiers.
Areas of interest: social movements and state-society relations, geopolitics, migration, democratization, and gender issues.
