Battle of narratives: Challenging ‘Alternative’ worldviews
How do authoritarian states want to change the perceptions of the world order? What are the consequences of such worldviews, and how can they be challenged? This was discussed during UI's side event at Munich Security Conference 2024.
The discussion was moderated by Ambassador Jakob Hallgren, Director of UI, and preceeded by presentations by Constanze Stelzenmüller, Director of the Brookings Center on the United States and Europe and Fritz Stern Chair on Germany and trans-Atlantic Relations at Brookings, and Timothy Garton Ash, Professor of European Studies in the University of Oxford, Isaiah Berlin Professorial Fellow at St Antony’s College, Oxford.
